Böhler FOX CN 22/9 N Duplex Stainless Steel Electrodes

The Böhler FOX CN 22/9 N is a rutile-coated stainless steel electrode designed for welding ferritic-austenitic duplex stainless steels, including materials such as 1.4462 and UNS S31803. It is ideal for demanding applications where high strength, toughness and corrosion resistance are required.

This electrode offers excellent all-positional weldability, making it particularly suitable for pipe welding and fabrication work. It provides good wetting characteristics, easy slag removal and strong resistance to porosity for clean, reliable weld results.

The fully alloyed core wire helps produce a homogeneous weld metal structure with excellent corrosion resistance. The weld metal has a specified ferrite content of 30–60 FN and a PREN value above 35, making it suitable for aggressive environments such as offshore and chemical industry applications.
