• Tempilstiks are the original temperature indicator marker made by Markal in the United States of America. They are the perfect balance of precise temperature indication and convenience. Common applications include metal pre-heating, gauging inter-pass weld temperatures as well as post-weld heat treating. When the metal gets up to the designated temperature the Tempilstik will instantly melt upon contact. They are accurate within +/- 3% of celcius rating and +/- 1% of fahrenheit rating. Importantly, Tempilstiks comply with preheat temperature requirements of AWS D1.1, ASME Code Sec. I, III and VIII, ANSI/ASME Code B31.1 and B31.3.

  This particular Tempilstik is suitable for detecting temperatures of 200C / 392F.
