The Böhler FOX EV 50 Dry System 30 is a basic-coated, low-hydrogen welding electrode engineered to deliver exceptional strength, toughness, and weld integrity, even in extreme temperatures down to –50°C. With a metal recovery rate of approximately 110%, this electrode ensures high efficiency and productivity in demanding industrial and structural applications.
Formulated for steels with low purity and high carbon content, the FOX EV 50 features a moisture-resistant coating and an ultra-low hydrogen level (HD < 4 ml/100g weld metal) in compliance with AWS standards. It provides excellent weldability in all positions except vertical down, producing clean, defect-free welds with minimal spatter and smooth bead appearance.
Tested and approved for critical applications, this electrode meets the CTOD test at –10°C and the HIC-Test per NACE TM-02-84, confirming suitability for offshore, sour gas, and other high-stress environments. Its SSC-test results further validate its reliability under extreme service conditions.
