The Böhler FOX EV 50 Dry System 30 is a basic-coated, low-hydrogen electrode engineered to deliver exceptional weld strength, toughness, and reliability — even in extreme temperatures down to –50°C. With a metal recovery rate of approximately 110%, this electrode ensures maximum efficiency and consistent performance in demanding industrial and structural applications.
Designed for all-position welding (except vertical down), the FOX EV 50 features a moisture-resistant coating and very low hydrogen content (HD < 4 ml/100g weld metal), minimizing the risk of cracking and hydrogen embrittlement. Its formulation provides outstanding results on steels with low purity or high carbon content, making it ideal for offshore, shipbuilding, pressure vessel, and structural steel projects.
The FOX EV 50 also meets stringent sour gas service requirements (HIC-Test acc. NACE TM-02-84) and has CTOD test verification at –10°C, confirming its performance and safety under critical operating conditions.
