Why Fume Extraction Matters

## Welding Fumes Are Dangerous to Health

Welding fumes are dangerous to health and have been linked to lung cancer. It is essential that welders use effective protection and extraction to help remove welding fumes from the working environment.

PAPR filter systems protect the welder by cleaning the air they breathe, but they do not reduce the volume of fume in the surrounding workspace. Fume extraction should form part of a complete protection strategy.

PRO-FUME torches are available in air-cooled and water-cooled versions and have been engineered to meet high industrial standards.
